Benefit to Support the Mazingo Family

 —  —

Mirkwood Public House, 117 E Division St, Arlington

We're going to be hosting a benefit concert and raffle to support an incredible local family that was recently hit hard by a medical emergency. The evening will feature music from Brittany Collins, Bess and Amber, and Allison Preisinger, as well as a raffle with awesome prizes from many generous local donors. To learn more about this very deserving family please read on.

On July 6th 2019 Ryan Mazingo, a 32-year-old Navy veteran, father and husband began to experience partial paralysis, numbness and weakness in his limbs. After collapsing at home, several hospitalizations and multiple trips to the ER, it was eventually discovered that Ryan was having multiple strokes, the cause of which is still unknown. Over the next month, Ryan would be admitted to Providence Hospital and then Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where a host of tests, including two MRIs, two Cat Scans and an Ultrasound, would be performed to determine the cause of these events.

Eventually Ryan was stabilized and sent home to continue physical therapy in order to regain his strength and the ability to walk without a cane. Although Ryan is expected to make a full recovery, the cost of his treatment and the extensive amount of time out of work due to this medical emergency, have taken a toll on his family’s financial security. His wife Megan is a stay-at-home mom who cares for their adorable daughter Evelynn, who was diagnosed with Autism in 2018, and thus Ryan is the sole breadwinner for the family. Please help us in giving this amazing local family our support!
