Art Workshop: Gelli Printing and Art Games

Drop in and enjoy a fun, hands-on art experience inspired by color, texture, and the serene beauty of the natural world. Experiment with gelli plate printmaking to create one-of-a-kind pieces using found objects as well as flowers, shells, and other materials.

If you’re looking for a gentle starting point, a series of art games inspired by Kandinsky, Kahlo, Basquiat, Kusama, O’Keeffe, and others, offers a low-pressure way to spark ideas and embrace spontaneity.

This is a self-guided, come-and-go workshop for exploration and connection, where you are free to engage at your own pace. Whether staying for a few minutes or settling in for longer, the focus is on process over product. This workshop is offered by artist and musician, Adrienne Pierce.

About Adrienne Pierce

Adrienne Pierce is a Canadian painter, art educator, and singer-songwriter based in Seattle. She has over a decade of experience teaching art to students of all ages. Her own work explores themes of identity, transformation, and the natural world.

Adrienne brings a thoughtful, process-oriented approach to creativity, encouraging participants to let go of perfection and reconnect with play. As both an artist and teacher, she creates welcoming spaces where participants of all skill levels can explore, experiment, and express themselves freely.

Amy Laybourn is a musician and artist from Seattle with a passion for creativity and community.  As a songwriter she embraces her 70s roots and delivers a sound drawing from the folk, rock and soul of that era. She released her first EP, Streaks of Gold, in December of 2025 and performs regularly with a band as well as with groups like Bushwick Book Club and Great Women of Folk and Country.  Amy is also co-founder of Acorn Collective, a local arts organization with the mission of promoting community through the arts.  Her music and visual art reflects our journey toward truth and light, reframing doubt and struggle with a message of hopefulness and love.

Mark Ippolito is a proud member of Seattle’s vibrant community of singer-songwriters and regularly performs his original songs in venues throughout Puget Sound. His debut full length album “New Moon” is steeped in equal measures of blues, folk, pop, jazz and rock and reflects Mark’s abiding interest and celebration of the interconnectedness, both physical and spiritual, that exists between us all. Human beings have far more in common than we may claim as our differences. The stories Mark shares in his songs inspire listeners to see this fundamental truth.

Lori Bellamy is a poet and a math tutor. She appreciates the exactness that each of these disciplines requires. Her poems have appeared in Catamaran Literary Reader, Toasted Cheese Literary Journal, Indolent Press’s Poem-A-Day and other publications. When she’s not singing times tables with children or counting commas at her desk, you can find her Morris dancing on crisp spring mornings and crocheting silly hats. Lori earned her MFA in poetry from Pacific University.
